What's the big deal with drinking alcohol?

Alcohol acts as a depressant on the brain and nervous system. Think of a depressant like the opposite of caffeine (this is a stimulant!) Caffeine wakes you up, and alcohol slows you down physically and mentally.

Driving while impaired can lead to danger behind the wheel and on the roadways are your reaction times slow down and decision making lapses.
